1978
Start the journey
CUCKOO Electronics was founded by Koo Ja Shin under the original name Sunkwang. This marked the beginning of CUCKOO's development journey in the home appliance industry.
1998
CUCKOO brand launches
The CUCKOO brand was officially introduced and gradually established its position in the market. This event marked a new phase of development under the CUCKOO brand name.
2006
Leadership transition
Mr. Koo Bon Hak has officially assumed the position of CEO of CUCKOO. Under the new leadership, the company continues to accelerate innovation and expand its business operations.
2014
First steps into the international market
CUCKOO International in Malaysia was founded by Mr. Hoe Kian Choon. This is CUCKOO's first overseas joint venture, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion.
2016
Expansion in Southeast Asia
CUCKOO Brunei and CUCKOO Singapore have been officially established. These two new markets contribute to strengthening the brand's presence in the region.
2017
Enter the Indonesian market
CUCKOO Indonesia was established by CUCKOO International Malaysia and CUCKOO Electronics Korea. This milestone further expands CUCKOO's operational network in Southeast Asia.
2018
Continuing the expansion journey
CUCKOO Vina in Vietnam and CUCKOO India have been officially established. With these new markets, CUCKOO continues to expand its presence in Asia.
